LOOK THROUGH A DARKER LENS: HEDI SLIMANE
i may just always have my spreads in black and white because for me nothing seems to compare to its intensity. it kind of removes everything that is not significant and refocuses your intention to the points of the photograph that seems to matter the most. although my favorite has also centered around helmut newton, hedi has held my interest in the power of black and white photographs. with that said, there is another element that is added to the intensity of hedi, helmut and linderbergh's shots is the provacitive, oversexualized, and dark messages. i may always dream of one day picking up a camera and seeing what i can capture. its the idea of stealing a moment from time and taking it for your own to manipulate. so here are amazing images of hedi.
