I've seen this video a million times and can never get enough of it. An adrenaline raising video. A glimpse into the lives of thinkers, creatives while they give all that they have. Seriously...where would the world be without it. There grew a desire to watch interviews to understand individuals better. i, truly, believe that in order to create, lead or take any sort of risks---it takes a level of removal from fear and exposure. You jump in on a high and hope everyone understands. Greats like McQueen, Tisci and Christopher Nolan understand how to connect with their audiences, the people to whom they've made a promise. As I posted in a video earlier with Charlie Siem---you get an understanding of what sort of vow these men make to the people watching and they deliver. I can only hope that i can deliver what has been brewing in my mind and not shy away from it as it gets bigger.

Every man to whom this is dedicated plays a role....dress the part....get there. there is function in clothing beyond 'dressing one's back.' it is in every way a tool...get there. Every great man who has, has had a specific tool, from Jordan's red uniform to Ali's boxing shorts. There is something rather more intimate in men's apparel. It speaks of one's level of ambition....like it did years ago, it is their uniform. Their means to their end.

An Ode to Perfection

i've always felt a connection to the male gender, the male psyche, male ambition & masculinity. It's the only language i've ever spoken and have ever wanted to perfect. So it doesn't hurt when you surround yourself w/ the boys, from work to music. If you've read this blog or have browsed posts since it's inception in 2008, then you know this far too well. Every step I take stems from the desire to make the brand stronger and bring what i've found regarding this man to light in menswear as no designer has. It pains me to wait longer as you can imagine the responses i've received regarding this 'MM story'. so in the meantime, before exposing anything further...i'll celebrate the greats who make this journey all the less painful...

as an ode to perfecting the MM story.....to love and ambition and the shit in between <3

it's remarkable to see some of the most beautiful women of our generation as there were the dorothy dandridges and elizabeth taylor's of the past. It's like you put all of this mystic dust, talent, beauty, sexuality, seduction, mystery and intelligence into a black box and shake it and women like megan fox come out. I have four brothers and the only thing that i could wish for them is to have women like these. women who are enigmas. complex women are not obsessed with being independent but rather an ideal. she must be beautiful enough to constantly chase, smart enough to create a challenge in a conversation, ambitious enough to satisfy a thought and sexual energy enough to gain the attention of an entire room. of course this women also brings the benefit of pride. he knows that no matter how far she may go, she'll always be loyal. so with this said, here is the true ideal woman: megan fox. although one can argue that she may not be a saint or an intellect ---but she is if anything a strategist, a thinker. she knows how to leverage her beauty for what she wants---she's the ultimate seducer. a few days ago, one of the twins and i went to a store in chelsea and fell into discussion with an old wall street banker about the lost art: the bow tie. think about it, how many men have lost their way due to the disaster of the casual fridays of the late 90s and early millennium. Very few men wear the look and a great percentage of them pull it off when they do. please remember, i am not a lover of the preppy dandy look for men. I do believe in a man not seemingly trying hard to match things together with funky colors and heavy tweeds. Its been done before. let's progress boys. here is an easy vid to master the lost art
