The Art of the Thrill

I'm full of excitement in this heavy weather of rain pouring, trees violently blowing and the demand for attention that the weather brings. The weather almost sounding like the soundtrack of Shutter Island. With this, there is nothing more certain than the art of the thrill. There is a power in this danger, thunder, vibrations: the presence of the unknown. I'm guilty now of doing exactly what my older brothers always mentioned: being 'flowery' with my words. Apologies. There are very rare moments when there is a light/flame in darkness for me. An excitement for something that you cannot see and the anxious feeling that one gets from understanding something that is on the tip of their tongue. For those who love film, the dramatics, the orchestra, the mystery. Thank God for the love of the thrill. I speak of Christopher Nolan nearly every post here and for me there is no question as to why. Only in film, can you be emotionally connected to and understand the plight of the villain. Or maybe am I the crazy one. There is a heartbeat in these stories that make the characters memorable, believable to the point that you are a part of this roller coaster ride. I have never in my life been more addicted than I am now. The vow to go down with the dream along with the ups. For me it isn't about cardigans for sell. It is about the heartbeat. It is inspiring. It is unknown. It is quite simply the art of the thrill.
